First Step Shelter

The garden was created in summer 2023 to give First Step Shelter residents hands-on opportunities to learn new skills, get outdoors, and grow their own food. The garden space features six four-by-four beds and two six-by-six beds, along with a small collection of banana, papaya, salad and hibiscus trees. Produce grown here is consistently cared for and harvested by residents.
